Throughout scripture we see the importance of bringing our children before Him and making a decision to parent with God's principles.

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."
1 Samuel 1, the mother of Samuel, after being unable to conceive asked God for a son and God granted to her this request. When Samuel was a boy, her parents went to the temple and dedicated their child to God.
